Buick GL8 Mobile Command Center is a compact command and coordination platform built on the Buick GL8 commercial MPV chassis. It is designed for emergency management, public safety operations, fire service coordination, medical support missions, and event command where rapid deployment and on-site communication are required.
The interior can be equipped with communication systems, video conferencing equipment, onboard computers, display screens, wireless networking devices, and power management systems. The cabin layout provides a practical workspace for coordination, communication, and field management.
Based on the Buick GL8 platform, the vehicle offers comfortable transport and good mobility for urban and regional operations. 1. Chassis and mobility – The GL8 chassis is widely used for government and fleet operations. The 2.0T engine (169 kW) and 9AT transmission provide smooth acceleration. Fuel consumption under urban command use (idling with equipment on) is approximately 11–13 L/100 km.

2. Interior configuration – The rear cabin is modified to include a command workstation (2 seats), a fold-up map table, dual 15-inch LCD monitors, a video conferencing camera, a 4G/5G router, and a secondary battery system (100 Ah) to run electronics without idling the engine. The original second-row seats are retained for additional staff.

3. Communication systems – Standard equipment: VHF/UHF radio (dual band, 25W), cellular data terminal, and satellite phone (optional). A roof-mounted multi-band antenna supports 4G, GPS, and radio. For secure communications, an encrypted voice system can be installed.
