JMC Diesel Mobile ICU Ambulance Car

A:  JMC is a mainstream light commercial vehicle brand in China. Its ambulance chassis are known for rugged durability, easy maintenance, and widely available spare parts. Many county-level emergency centers and township health centers have long used JMC-based ambulances, and drivers as well as mechanics are very familiar with them. Compared to European brands, JMC offers lower purchase and long-term maintenance costs, making it suitable for users with limited budgets who still need ICU-level equipment.

A:  A standard ICU ambulance focuses on maintaining vital signs during transport, while a "Mobile ICU" emphasizes the ability to perform full ICU-level procedures while the vehicle is stationary or moving at low speed – such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube drainage, with two physicians working simultaneously. Mobile ICUs are typically used for picking up critically ill patients from primary hospitals and continuing advanced life support en route to a tertiary hospital, rather than merely "stable transport."

A:  ICU ambulances often need to idle the engine for extended periods to keep the patient compartment's HVAC, monitoring equipment, and suction system running. Diesel engines consume significantly less fuel at idle than gasoline engines and offer better idle stability. This means that at a large incident scene or during a rest stop on a long transfer, the vehicle can continue supplying power and oxygen without frequent refueling. For emergency centers, the daily fuel cost of a diesel mobile ICU is lower, making it well-suited for fleets with high daily mileage and long standby hours.

A:  The vehicle uses JMC's medium-roof or high-roof light van body, with external length and width similar to a standard commercial van – turning radius is moderate – allowing normal access to most city streets, hospital corridors, and older residential areas. Compared to large ICU ambulances built on truck chassis, the JMC mobile ICU is more agile when making U-turns, reversing, or entering tight underground garages. At the same time, the interior layout is optimized to accommodate essential ICU equipment and staff working space without increasing external dimensions.

A:  Our conversion does not cut the chassis frame, modify the engine control unit, or alter the original braking/steering system. The patient compartment's power system is independent of the vehicle's original electrical circuits, and all added equipment is mounted via dedicated brackets without welding to the original structure. Therefore, JMC authorized service stations can still provide the factory warranty for the chassis (engine, transmission, running gear). Our conversion carries a separate warranty, and we provide detailed conversion documentation at delivery for easy reference by local service stations.
