Maxus Diesel ICU Ambulance Euro 6 Emergency Van

A:  The diesel version is aimed at long-distance transfers, remote areas, and locations with limited charging infrastructure – such as inter-provincial critical care transport, high-altitude or mountainous routes, and field medical teams. Diesel refueling is widely available, offers greater range, and is not restricted by charging station placement. It also avoids battery performance degradation in cold weather. For users with high daily mileage and frequent dispatch, the total cost of ownership of the diesel version is often lower.

A:  The vehicle has obtained China 6b emission certification, equivalent to Euro 6. In most Chinese cities (including low-emission zones), China 6b diesel vehicles can operate normally and are not subject to restrictions on older diesel vehicles (China 3/4). However, some cities still have time- or area-based diesel vehicle restrictions (e.g., peak hour bans for diesel trucks in central districts). As an ambulance is a special purpose vehicle, exemptions or permits are often available. We recommend confirming local policies with the traffic authorities before purchase.

A:  The Maxus diesel ICU ambulance receives dedicated noise and vibration treatments between the cab and patient compartment. Measures include a multi-layer bulkhead (steel + damping foam + seals), rubber vibration dampers between the stretcher platform and chassis, and acoustic lining on compartment walls instead of hard plastic. The factory-optimized NVH diesel engine version is also selected. In practice, the interior noise level in the patient compartment is substantially lower than a standard diesel van and does not interfere with monitor alarms or patient rest.

A:  No. Our conversion does not touch the engine ECU, transmission control unit, braking system, or original safety structure. All medical equipment power is drawn from a separately installed secondary alternator and auxiliary battery system, physically isolated from the vehicle's original electrical system. Oxygen and suction lines are mounted with independent brackets without cutting load-bearing structures. As a result, the original factory warranty remains intact, and emission compliance is unaffected.

A:  SAIC Maxus has authorized service stations in most prefecture-level cities and many county-level cities across China. Chassis components (engine, transmission, HVAC) are covered by Maxus's factory warranty. Our medical conversion comes with a separate warranty, and we maintain regional spare parts warehouses (e.g., East, South, Southwest, North China) for quick dispatch of common consumables (inverter modules, oxygen seals, warning light assemblies). For bulk buyers (e.g., municipal emergency centers), on-site training or periodic inspections of the medical compartment through local Maxus service stations can be arranged.
